I studied Architecture (1975-1979) at U.N.A.M. I moved to Canada in 1984.

My first stop in Canada was Victoria, BC where I had the opportunity to exhibit some of my paintings in one of the oldest galleries in the town – Winchester Gallery (1986 and 1987), as well as in Victoria’s City Hall (1985).

I moved to Vancouver at the end of 1986 where I enrolled at Emily Carr College of Art and Design with the major in painting (1986-1988). After my graduation, I began to exhibit at Threshold Gallery (1988). There, I showed my work every year after, until 1994 when the gallery was closed.

Through Threshold Gallery I had an opportunity to have exhibitions at various galleries around the United States, such as at Galeria Venzor in Chicago (1989), in a group show with one of the most important Hispano-American artists: Leonora Carrington), at Bistango Museum Gallery in L.A. (1990) and in New York (Latin Faces, 1996). I exhibited in a group exhibition with some of the most significant contemporary Mexican artists in "Eye Care Center" of Vancouver General Hospital (1989) as well.

In 1998, I returned to Mexico for a solo exhibition in Ensenada, B.C.N. Mexico.

In 1999, I became part of the group of Artists called “Art for Architecture” in Seattle, WA. I participated in 2 exhibitions with the same group in 2000.

In the last ten years, I have been part of a group exhibition representing Mexico in Canada at various galleries, universities and colleges.
